Warm roof
The most frequent and recommended roofing!
The insulation layer is located between the roof deck and sealing layer. On the roof deck, application of DERBICOAT NT is necessary. This serves as vapour barrier (Accordingly the indoor climate class of the underlying room). Then the insulation and the sealing layer is applied. (DERBICOAT NT + DERBIGUM SP FR or only DERBIGUM SP FR, depending on the type of insulation.
With a warm roof system, the roof deck is protected from fluctuations in temperature by the insulation. This limits the risk of movement and cracks in the roof deck . The temperature load on the sealing is enormous. Thanks to the high melting point of DERBIGUM SP FR, >150°C, a warm roof system is an ideal combination with our sealing.
From a cold roof to a warm roof
The existing roof covering can be used as a vapour barrier when a cold roof is transformed into a warm roof. The following points have to be examined:
- Type and value of the insulation (in a cold roof)
- Does the insulation has to be removed?
- Checking of the roof deck
- Removing or sealing of the vent holes
